Back to Germany for Heidi and Heinz's birthday
While we were in Germany last October, we realized that Sue's Aunt Heidi and Heidi's twin brother Heinz would be turning 50 on February 24th, 2001. In traditional German style, they planned to have a big shindig to celebrate.
Sue and I decided that a fabulous birthday present would be for us to show up at the party. With some careful planning with Sue's uncle Ernst, and some help from Sue's cousins Nina and Jens, we kept it a complete secret from Heidi.
- February 23rd/24th: arrival and the big party!
- February 26th: Stuttgart and Heinz and Margit's.
- February 28th: visiting the Foells.
- March 1st: Tante Bertha, walking around Oberensigen, and visiting Christel.
- March 2nd: Nuertigen and Marco's.
- March 3rd: Sue's birthday party, and dinner with the Krcmars.
- March 4th: flying home.
- March 5th: back in Pennsylvania.
